La historia

Sam is waiting for a package with new work shoes. The delivery message says the driver will arrive between 2:00 and 4:00. At 3:15, Sam receives a photo from the delivery company. The package is in front of a blue door, but Sam’s apartment building has a red door. He checks the address in the message and sees that the driver used 318 Lake Street instead of 381 Lake Street.

Sam calls the delivery company right away. He says, “Hello. My package was delivered to the wrong address.” The representative asks for the tracking number and the correct address. Sam reads the number from the message and says, “The correct address is 381 Lake Street, apartment 4C.” The representative checks the map and sees that the two buildings are on the same block but have different door colors.

The representative calls the driver, who is still nearby. Ten minutes later, the driver arrives at Sam’s red door with the package. He says, “I am sorry. I read the address too quickly.” Sam checks the label before signing. His new shoes are inside, in the right size. He thanks the driver and saves the delivery company number in his phone. The next time he orders something, he plans to include his apartment number and door color in the delivery notes.
